Many thanks to all who participated in our wonderful 2016 Annual Seabeck Retreat. This year, we had six local UU congregations working together to provide rich and satisfying community time with fellow UU’s: Shoreline, Evergreen, Westside, Saltwater, Tahoma and Olympia. A total of 180 people participated, forming special connections and bonds across all ages. We offered a wonderful program, “Let the World Sing through You: Building Community with UU Congregations,” presented by Kathleen Tracy, singer, songwriter, teacher. Many thanks to all who donated to the scholarship fund. We were able to provide adequate scholarship assistance to all who requested support. In addition to the main program and special programs for teens and younger children, special interest workshops were offered by several members. Thanks to all of the workshop leaders, teachers, teaching assistants, musicians, worship planners, campfire leaders, boat dock volunteers, and the Seabeck Planning Team. So many volunteers helped out this year – we can’t possibly mention you all!  Our Seabeck Planning Team sincerely appreciates the sacrifice of our family members and spouses, who support our ability to do this valuable community building work. We appreciate everyone’s loving support of this tradition. We want your feedback, so thanks in advance for filling out the online survey which you received in early May. As always, we strive to make each year’s retreat spiritual, satisfying, and restful.
