Climate – Get Your Oar in the Water – Sunday June 26

After the service on June 26, enjoy lunch with the OUUC Environmental Action Team, and leadership and staff from the Thurston Climate Action Team (TCAT). Learn how the Thurston Climate Mitigation Plan is being implemented and funded. The program will provide finger foods and conversation followed by a presentation by members of TCAT. TCAT was a recipient of OUUC ‘Share the Plate’ funds last year.

Learn how you can help Thurston County meet its climate goals! If you are interested, TCAT has a variety of opportunities for volunteers at all levels of experience to hop on board. TCAT groups advise our local governments on forestry, food security, buildings, and transportation. TCAT is ramping up its education program and needs folks to help plan and put on events. They also sponsored the beautiful murals that appeared on the cement wall near the 4th avenue roundabout.

We will meet in one of the classrooms. OUUC building Covid restrictions will apply.
Please RSVP to Barb Carey.
