Create a Lasting Legacy

How do you wish to be remembered? How has the Olympia Unitarian Universalist Congregation touched your life? Leaving a planned or legacy gift is a meaningful way to help ensure the future of our beloved church. By including OUUC in your estate plan, you will make a difference for generations to come.

Way to Give

  • Leave a gift in your will or trust. You can give a specific dollar amount or a percentage of your estate.  
  • Name OUUC as a beneficiary of your IRA or 401(k) retirement plan.
  • Designate OUUC as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy. 
  • Give a gift of appreciated securities/stock via the UUA’s Umbrella Giving Program.
  • Set up a charitable gift annuity through UUA to benefit OUUC. 
  • Leave a gift of personal property, such as real estate (with pre-approval). 

Types of Gifts

  • Unrestricted gifts: Support the greatest needs of the congregation.
  • Restricted gifts: Donated with a specific purpose to support OUUC. (Requires Board approval.)
  • OUUC Endowment Fund: Gifts are invested to provide ongoing long- term support for special projects and/or operations. Gifts of $5,000 and above are acknowledged with an engraved leaf on OUUC’s Giving Tree.

Residuary Bequest:

“I give to Olympia Unitarian Universalist Congregation, a Washington nonprofit organization located at 2306 East End St. NW, Olympia, WA 98502, Federal Tax ID 91-0982974, all (or state a percentage) of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate, to be used for its general support (or for the support of a specific fund).”
