Showing Up for Reproductive Justice

Last Saturday many from OUUC came out on a beautiful afternoon to march and rally for reproductive justice. It was a well attended event, with powerful and heartbreaking testimonials shared by people who support reproductive justice for all.

One action that was suggested to participants is to contact our congressional representative, Marilyn Strickland, and let her know that you want bills like the recently passed (in the House) Women’s Health Protection Act to explicitly include protections for transgender and non-binary people as well. The struggle for reproductive justice is not just for women, and reproductive rights are also trans rights.

I was heartened by the good turn out last Saturday, and disappointed the Olympian didn’t cover it. Thank you to all who showed up! Let’s continue this work for justice.

Faithfully,

Sara
