The death of a loved one is often a highly stressful time for family and friends who are coping with deep emotions in addition to organizing the practical details of a memorial service. The Olympia Unitarian Universalist Congregation (OUUC) is available to support members and friends through this difficult period.
For Members and Pledging Friends of OUUC:
For members and pledging friends of OUUC, there is no fee for space, minister, or the reception. Refreshments for up to 100 people are available at no charge. To discuss or schedule a memorial service or celebration of life at OUUC, please contact the minister.
OUUC’s Memorial Receptions Team coordinates volunteers to assist with tasks related to an OUUC memorial service. Contact Melanie Ransom.
If you’d like to have our cremains added to the Columbarium, you can find the Columbarium policy and submission form here.
For Non-OUUC Parties:
OUUC is happy to provide its space to individuals outside the church for memorials and celebrations of life if space is available for the dates requested according to our rental policy and fee schedule. OUUC’s minister, Rev. Mary Gear, may be available to officiate for a separate fee. Any minster other than Rev. Mary will need to be approved. OUUC’s Director of Music Services, Troy Fisher, may also be available for a separate fee.
To book OUUC’s space for a memorial or celebration of life, please please contact the minister, review the ‘Use Our Space’ webpage, and fill out the necessary rental forms.
